Oberwaldhaus in Darmstadt

Very nice place to go for a walk for young and old.

Everything was closed but there was a lot going on on the playground today there were even balloons to buy. Since this year the showmen weren't supposed to earn anything everyone who was there to buy a balloon was great

3 months ago I was in the restaurant every day because I was working in Darmstadt. I can only recommend the place - delicious food and great cakes. The corona rules were complied with in an exemplary manner !! The owner and his staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. I'm looking forward to my next visit

A really great restaurant! Cooking is fresh and tasty here. The grill plate is my favorite! The service is courteous and eager to please the guests!

The cheesecake was delicious, as was the cappuccino. We didn't have to fill out a corona contact form. Why? I do not know.

Great location in the forest. Due to the size of the beer garden, the Corona regulations can be implemented well. Fairly good offer, but food too expensive. For a breaded pork schnitzel € 15.90 is definitely too expensive. Def Service is extremely nice and courteous! Very nice for drinking coffee, eating sundae and going for a walk. Cake is unspectacular.

It's really great. I was very pleased. The staff was very very friendly. The food was excellent.

Service staff was unfriendly. Only when it came to payment did you get nice to get a tip. Corona hygiene regulations were sometimes not complied with. Menu comes as an odor-intensive paper pad that devalues ​​the ambience and the tablecloth. Food was ok - salad oily and tasteless (no vinegar), one of the meals came later at an almost empty restaurant.

You must have been here or you haven't been to Bavaria! Order at least half a liter of beer, which is actually mandatory to eat apple strudel! What a look, authentic German, you can taste the antiquity and tradition!

Fire bowl for fumigating wasps in the beer garden. When we were spoken to, we were told that we could go if that didn't suit us. We did that with a hearty laugh. Apparently this place doesn't need paying guests these days.

The food was good, it was quick, the waitresses were friendly and the prices were normal. Nothing to complain about. Had lamb chops which were delicious and plentiful.

The restaurant with beer garden is in a very nice location. The quality and quantity of the dishes are in no relation to the price. We had different dishes and they were all tasteless and unkind. The waiter was arrogant and not very motivated. Not recommendable.

Unfortunately, we received a horrible and unfriendly service paired with cold food and high prices...

0-3 the last 5 years. Pretty poor service everytime. Write the order down if no one is able to remember.

Outdoor self-service cafè, outside the Oberwaldhaus Café Restaurant. This is nothing to remark, but the Café is yet to be seen.

That was a failure today :) you had to ask the service several times to take the order, after about 30 minutes someone came even though the gentlemen were well staffed with 6 service staff on the terrace and no larger company was to be seen. The staff seemed very overwhelmed and uncoordinated. And unfortunately also very unfriendly. When we decided to only order an ice cream sundae and it arrived about 20 minutes after ordering, we were disappointed again. The ice cream cups didn't even begin to match the photos on the menu. A fruit cup with a strawberry and 1 raspberry is poor. So if you have no plans on Sundays and like long waiting times and listless and annoyed staff, then you are in the right place. Otherwise I cannot recommend this. I would like a statement from the operator

Pleasant beer and nice to sit outside on a beautiful, warm day after a very long hike. Service was inattentive to order the beers initially and after a long wait of well over 15 minutes, we then had to find staff so as to pay the bill, having sat there with empty glasses that could just as easily have been re-filled, had they bothered to walk our way. (We were just by the rear doors.) It was no great problem. Perhaps they would have been more interested in us had we ordered food. The place itself is worth visiting. Fellas... be sure to turn right as you go through the communal door for the toilets. Girls.... best you turn left, that said!

RESTAURANT OBERWALDHAUS We spent a morning wandering around the grounds, circumnavigating the lake and walking in the woods which was very pleasant. We decided to try out the restaurant which looked good from the outside, the inside was even better than the inside, we only had coffee but we watching the waiters bringing out other people's orders which made our mouths water as they looked so good, the portion sizes were on the American size scale which if you are like me on a stricked diet is not good. Would I return the answer is definitely, and next time it won't just be coffee I will having.

Lovely location. Good traditional German/Croatian cuisine. Elegant yet cozy atmosphere. Large outdoor seating. Often our destination.
